She is Sailing beginning in Spring 2024! Please follow us on Facebook for updates!

Public Sails

Set sail aboard the AJ Meerwald, one of the hundreds of oyster schooners that graced the Delaware Bay in the 1920s! Experience history by helping the crew hoist the sails, and learn about sailing and the local environment! A ticket is required for all passengers. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

All tickets also include entry to the Delaware Bay Museum for a self-guided tour through a variety of exhibits celebrating the culture and heritage of the Bayshore region!

Specialty Sails

In addition to our normal programming, special sails contain anything from wine and cheese to guest speakers! We are always looking to shake things up by adding different, exciting programming. Past special sails have included: Wine & Cheese Sails, Pirate Sails, Lighthouse Sails, Children’s Sails, Halloween Sails, and many more! For this year’s available sails, click here!

Public Education Sails

Our Education Sails on the AJ Meerwald provide you the opportunity to learn about the history and ecology of the Bayshore while sailing on New Jersey’s official tall ship! In addition to our normal history presentation, we will be presenting a series of workshops focusing on marine science. All activities are hands-on and interactive. For more information, click here!

If you have any questions about our public sails, please email us at info@bayshorecenter.org or call us at (856)785-2060.
