We’ll be showing The Oyster Farmers, a documentary that explores the resurgence of oysters in the Barnegat Bay and Little Egg Harbor Estuary following Hurricane Sandy.

Second Saturday Kids Program: June 13th, 2026 11 AM
Kids Seining Delaware Bay, an exciting outdoor exploration program at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve. During this hands-on adventure, children and families will explore the Delaware Bayshore while learning about the wildlife and natural features that make our region unique.
Second Saturday Adults Program: June 13th, 2026 1 PM
Build a Basket Boat, a hands-on creative workshop at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve. Inspired by the maritime heritage of the Delaware Bay, participants will design and build their own miniature coastal sailboat using a basket hull, wooden masts, and fabric sails.

Guest Speaker: Shane Godshall & Kerstin Axe: Shane Godshall, Habitat Restoration Program Director for the American Littoral Society, will present updates on several important Delaware Bay restoration projects. Habitat Restoration Technician Kerstin Axe will present “How to Absolutely Dominate Evolution: The Horseshoe Crab Strategy.”

Join us at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve and discover how traditional crab traps work during this fun, hands-on program for kids! Participants will learn about crabbing on the Delaware Bay while designing and building their own miniature crab trap.
Second Saturday Adults Program: August 8th, 2026 1 PM
Join us on Saturday, August 8th for Pressed Seaweed Art, and discover the beauty of Delaware Bay’s marine environment during our August Adult Program by creating your own botanical-inspired artwork using pressed seaweed.
