Resources | Science on the Bayshore

May 15, 2021 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

Everything that we do requires us to consume resources. We use plastics, metals, and wood to build the things that we use. We use energy to power our cars, our homes, and our electronics. But where does it all come from? What are some ways that we harvest our resources, and how can we make cleaner choices about our resource use? In this workshop, we will dive into resources and discuss the pros and cons of several different materials and power sources.

Join us on Thursdays and Saturdays for Science on the Bayshore at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve! During these workshops, we will be teaching bite-sized, hands-on, fun lessons about the Bayshore.

  • Registration is easy! Sign up here!
  • Workshops are free! There is no cost to you!
  • All lessons are hands-on
  • All ages are welcome, but lessons are best suited for ages 8+.
  • Workshops occur rain or shine and are outdoors, so please dress appropriately!
  • Attend 6 or more workshops to earn your Junior Bayshore Biologist certificate!
