2nd Friday Bayshore Center Bivalve

Join us for 2nd Friday on Friday, June 12 from 5–8 PM at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve for another evening of live music, waterfront views, local food, and engaging history along the Delaware Bay.

Bring your friends and family to enjoy a relaxed night on the docks featuring live acoustic music, fresh local oysters, casual food favorites, and a special guest speaker presentation exploring New Jersey’s Revolutionary War history.

Live Music

Enjoy live acoustic music throughout the evening from Joe Akinskas of Acoustic Breeze, providing the perfect soundtrack for a summer night by the bay.

Guest Speaker – Rita Rothberg

At 6:30 PM, Join Rita Rothberg for a fascinating look into life in 18th century Cape May County during the American Revolution.

Using public records and local history, this presentation explores how South Jersey communities experienced the fight for independence and the impact local residents had on colonial politics, privateering, salt works, and wartime survival.

Rita M. Rothberg has served in the Cape May County Clerk’s Office since 1985 and was first elected County Clerk in 2005. She is passionate about preserving local history and public records and has received statewide recognition for her leadership in records preservation and archives management.

Food & Drinks

You can purchase food and drinks throughout the event. Enjoy fresh oysters from Bivalve Packing Co, along with fried seafood and other casual fare. Local beer from Glasstown Brewing Co. will also be available.
