SUMMARY:Mini Oyster Reef Diorama | Kids Program at Bayshore Center
DESCRIPTION:Oyster Reef Kids Program at the Bayshore Center\nJoin us this Saturday for our oyster reef kids program\, a fun and hands-on activity at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve that introduces kids to the Delaware Bay ecosystem. \nDuring this program\, kids will build their own Delaware Bay oyster reef diorama using real oyster shells. This creative experience helps young learners understand how oyster reefs support marine life and protect our shoreline. \nBuild a Mini Oyster Reef Diorama\nParticipants will create a miniature reef habitat while learning how oysters filter water and provide shelter for wildlife. Kids will also take home their finished diorama\, giving them a lasting connection to what they learned. \nThis hands-on activity is designed to be both fun and educational\, making it a great introduction to coastal ecosystems. \nWhy Oyster Reefs Matter\nOyster reefs play a major role in keeping the Delaware Bay healthy. They help reduce shoreline erosion\, improve water quality\, and create habitats for fish and other marine species. \nThrough this program\, children will gain a better understanding of how these natural systems support coastal communities and wildlife. \nPlan Your Visit\nThis program is free and open to all kids. Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to get settled before the program begins. \nLooking for more to do?
