DESCRIPTION:2nd Friday at Bayshore Center at Bivalve | October\nJoin us for 2nd Friday at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve on Friday\, October 9 from 5–8 PM for another evening of live music\, waterfront views\, local food\, and the arrival of Flagship\, a traveling monument exploring the stories of labor and migration that have shaped South Jersey. \nBring your friends and family to enjoy an evening on the waterfront featuring fresh local oysters\, food and drinks\, live jazz and R&B\, and the opportunity to experience this unique mobile monument right here in Port Norris. \nLive Music\nEnjoy live jazz and R&B from the Eddie Jordan Trio throughout the evening. \nExperience Flagship with Artist Immanuel Oni\n \nThis October\, 2nd Friday welcomes Flagship and NJMML artist Immanuel Oni to the Bayshore Center at Bivalve. \nCreated through a year of conversations and programs with communities throughout South Jersey\, Flagship is a mobile monument that brings to life stories of labor and migration that have shaped our region’s past and present. \nThe project highlights the Black migrants who worked in Port Norris’s oyster industry\, planting\, harvesting\, shucking\, and processing oysters for commercial markets. \nVisitors will have the opportunity to experience Flagship during 2nd Friday and learn more about the people\, labor\, and histories it commemorates. \nFlagship Returns Saturday\nCan’t make it Friday night or want more time to explore? \nFlagship will remain at the Bayshore Center on Saturday\, October 10 from 11 AM–4 PM. \nVisitors are invited to explore and engage with the mobile monument and meet community stakeholders and members of the \nNJMML project team to learn more about how Flagship came together and the histories behind it. \nFood & Drinks\nYou can purchase food and drinks throughout the event. Enjoy fresh oysters from Bivalve Packing Co. and Oyster Cracker Café favorites including fried oysters\, fried flounder\, chicken fingers\, mac and cheese\, and more. Local beer from Glasstown Brewing Co. will also be available at A.J.’s Pub\, along with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. \nAbout 2nd Friday Bayshore Center at Bivalve\n \nOctober 2nd Friday at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve is part of our monthly 2nd Friday series.
