DESCRIPTION:Join Dana Gayner\, a local artist\, and create your own handcrafted “secret wallet” Valentine booklet with hidden panels and personalized messages. $7 for the public\, FREE for members.\n \nBio of Dana Gayner \nAfter attending the Philadelphia College of Art\, Dana began a teaching career at Woodland Country Day School that lasted 26 years.  She became involved with Gallery 50 in 1981\, becoming president of the non-profit for 8 years.  She has organized and judged many art shows.  Her work has been shown in the tri-state area\, and she has presented workshops for local schools\, libraries and Gallery 50\, Inc.  She had been a regular presenter for  the Friends Conference for Religion and Psychology\, and their sister conference in Washington\, DC.  While she enjoys painting in watercolor and acrylics\, she also works with semi-precious beads to design necklaces and bracelets.  While  attending the Artist/Teacher Institute at Rutgers in Camden\,  she was able to study book arts for many years with the University of the Arts professor\, Mary Phelan.  Her favorite type of book to make is the “Magic Wallet” book\, which lends itself to all occasions.

It’s the perfect way to spend a spring evening by the water. \nEnjoy live music by Nick Marley from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. While you’re here\, take in the scenic views and spend time with friends and family. \nAt 6:30 PM\, guest speaker Dave McCarthy from the Millville Army Air Field Museum will present on the history of the Millville Army Air Field. This site is known as “America’s First Defense Airport” and was established in 1941. \nDuring its operation\, over 100\,000 men and women served there. In addition\, more than 1\,500 pilots trained on site in fighter aircraft. Today\, the museum preserves this important part of South Jersey history. \nYou can purchase food and drinks throughout the event. Enjoy fresh oysters from Bivalve Packing Co\, along with fried seafood and other casual fare.
