DESCRIPTION:Great food from Julio’s on Main food truck and the Oyster Cracker Café including fried oysters\, delicious\, fresh\, oysters on the half shell\, local beers from Glasstown Brewing Co at AJ’s Pub\, free\, self-guided tours of the Delaware Bay Museum\, an interesting speaker and live music. Check out the Meerwald Mercantile while you are here. All proceeds go to support the Bayshore Center at Bivalve\, home of AJ Meerwald and the Delaware Bay Museum.\nLive music on the Docks! 5 – 8 pm\, Randy Harry\n \nSpeaker: John Brady in the Delaware Bay Museum\, 6:30 pm.\n \nPhoto by John Brady \n“Since retiring from a career in maritime museums in 2021\, I have spent as much time as possible exploring the Delaware Watershed\, photographing and filming as I walk or kayak. This presentation showcases our waterways from historical and environmental perspectives and offers some insights into their current state.”\nJohn Brady recently retired from a long career in maritime museums and ship preservation\nnonprofits. He has worked at South Street Seaport Museum\, The Philadelphia Ship Preservation\nGuild\, and the Independence Seaport Museum. For thirty-two of these years\, he was a boat\nbuilder and shipwright. Under his leadership\, the Independence Seaport Museum’s boat shop\nrose to national prominence while focusing on constructing and preserving New Jersey and\nDelaware River watercraft. Following this\, he became President and CEO of the Independence\nSeaport Museum\, a post he held for ten years. More recently he served as the interim CEO of\nthe Bayshore Center at Bivalve for six months. John has published in WoodenBoat\, Sea History\,\nand Power Ships. \n  \n  \n
