DESCRIPTION:July 11\, 2025 – 2nd Friday 5 – 8 pm.\nGreat food from the Oyster Cracker Café including fried oysters\, delicious\, fresh\, oysters on the half shell\, local beers from Glasstown Brewing Co at AJ’s Pub\, free\, self-guided tours of the Delaware Bay Museum\, an interesting speaker and live music. Check out the Meerwald Mercantile while you are here. All proceeds go to support the Bayshore Center at Bivalve\, home of AJ Meerwald and the Delaware Bay Museum.\nLive Music – On the Docks! Rob Roy Duo\n \nThe Rob Roy duo plays an eclectic blend of acoustic instrumental music from a range of genres including Renaissance-era and later tunes of Ireland\, Scotland and Wales\, as well as American fiddle tunes.  These pieces are played in a relaxed\, contemporary manner on Roy’s guitar and Rob’s mandolin-family instruments.  And don’t be surprised to hear some contemporary music in the mix\, as well. \nSpeaker – in the Delaware Bay Museum – 6:30 – Dr. Cadmus Hull\n \nDr. Hull will present on his book White Picket Fences. “A White Picket Fence\, Lessons to Learn on the Road to Success\,” chronicles Dr. Hull’s early years in Shellpile\, Bivlave\, Berrytown and Newport. The book demonstrates that humble beginnings do not have to prevent you from dreaming big and achieving your dreams. Come get your copy and have it signed by the author!\nDr. Hull earned an Associate Degree in Education from Cumberland County College\, now Rowan College of South Jersey and both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from Glassboro State College\, now Rowan University. His educational path led him to Nova University where he achieved his ultimate goal of a Doctorate Degree in School Leadership. Dr. Hull worked in the Vineland and Fairfield Township School districts as a classroom teacher. He went on to work in the Fairfield Township School System as Principal and Superintendent of Schools. He retired on June 30\, 2004\, after 33 years in education. A little known black history fact is that Dr. Hull was Cumberland County’s first black Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Hull is enjoying his retirement with his wife Sylvia while writing books\, reading\, and traveling. In addition\, Dr. Hull keeps himself busy these days by serving as a Clinical Teaching Supervisor for Fairleigh Dickinson University and as CEO of SSJ Books and More\, a family-owned business that involves personally authored African American books\, personalized name banner certificates and children’s personalized books.
